Neuron Guard is the winner of the Startup Europe Awards

The final ceremony of the StartUp Europe Awards (SEUA) was held yesterday, June 7, 2017 at the Altiero Spinelli building in the headquarters of the European Parliament, during which Neuron Guard was appointed as the best European startup in HEALTH category.

 

Promoted by the European Commission and implemented by Finnova Foundation in collaboration with StartUp Europe, the StartUp Europe Awards recognized the best 10 European startups by category in a ceremony hosted and chaired by the President of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani, with the extraordinary participation of: the Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Mr. Carlos Moedas; the Vice-President of the Committee of the Regions, Karl-Heinz Lambertz; the Vice-President for Communication of the European Economic and Social Committee, Gonçalo Lobo Xavier and the DG for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, Mr. Michel Servoz.

Coming from 14 European countries, the event hosted 84 finalist startups in 10 categories: Creative, Energy, Fintech, Green, Health, ICT, Smart Cities, Social, Tourism and Water.

“The high level of the final innovation together with the possibility to receive this award by the President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani make us very proud. Being chosen as the best European startup in HEALTH category in a prestigious context like this one, confirms the high modenese and Italian medical excellence. We dedicate this award to the city of Modena and institutions that have shown their support since the very first day of our birth” commented Mary Franzese at the end of the ceremony.

In addition to a great visibility across Europe given by 21 Media Partners, this recognition provides a free-access mentoring program by the StartUp Europe Accelerator of the Finnova Foundation. The goal is to strengthen the winning projects to increase their ability to receive European funds, such as Horizon 2020.

Si è tenuta ieri, 7 giugno 2017, presso l’edificio Altiero Spinelli della sede centrale Parlamento Europeo, la finale dello StartUp Europe Awards (SEUA), durante la quale Neuron Guard è stata proclamata la migliore startup nella categoria HEALTH.

Promosso dalla Commissione Europea e dalla Fondazione Finnova in collaborazione con StartUp Europe, SEUA ha premiato le migliori 10 startup europee per categoria in una cerimonia ospitata e presieduta dal Presidente del Parlamento Europeo, Antonio Tajani, con la partecipazione straordinaria de: il Commissario per la Ricerca, la Scienza e l’Innovazione, Carlos Moedas; il vicepresidente del Comitato delle Regioni, Karl-Heinz Lambertz; il vicepresidente per la comunicazione del Comitato Economico e Sociale europeo, Gonçalo Lobo Xavier; e il Direttore Generale della DG Occupazione, Affari Sociali e Inclusione, Michel Servoz.

Provenienti da 14 Paesi Europei, l’evento ha accolto 84 startup finaliste suddivise in 10 categorie: Creative, Energy, Fintech, Green, Health, ICT’s, Smart Cities, Social, Tourism and Water.

“L’elevato livello delle innovazioni giunte in finale e l’assegnazione di questo riconoscimento da parte del Presidente del Parlamento Europeo Antonio Tajani, ci rendono molto orgogliosi. Essere stati scelti come la migliore startup europea nella categoria HEALTH in un contesto di tale prestigio, conferma l’elevata eccellenza medicale modenese e italiana. Dedichiamo questo premio alla città di Modena e alle istituzioni per il sostegno mostrato sin dal primo giorno della nostra nascita” ha dichiarato Mary Franzese alla consegna del Premio.

Oltre a una grande visibilità in tutta Europa grazie a 21 Media Partner, il riconoscimento prevede l’accesso ad un programma di mentoring da parte dello StartUp Europe Accelerator della Fondazione Finnova. L’obiettivo è quello di rafforzare i progetti vincitori per aumentare la possibilità di ricevere fondi europei, quali ad esempio Horizon 2020.
